Equipment

  • Blender (I used my Vitamix linked below)
  • Colander (Something to use to rinse your Chickpeas in.)
  • Spatula
  • A container to store the hummus in (Obviously!)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Cup Cold Water
  • 1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Tahini (I HIGHLY recommend the Krinos brand.)
  • 3 Cans Chickpeas
  • Everything But the Bagel Seasoning (Optional, but recommended.)
  • Accent Seasoning (Optional.)
  • Garlic Powder (Optional but recommended.)
  • Onion Powder (Optional but recommended.)

Instructions

  • You truly are going to laugh when I say, literally put all the ingredients in the blender and blend it. That's basically it...
  • HOWEVER, there is one crucial step that cannot be forgotten... MAKE SURE YOU RINSE YOUR CHICKPEAS FIRST! If you don't rinse them before blending it will completely throw off the ENTIRE taste and honestly its not a pleasant bite.
  • Once your chickpeas are washed put them in the blender, add the cold water, olive oil and lemon juice. Don't forget the Tahini (I HIGHLY recommend the Krinos brand.)
  • Throw in whatever seasonings you desire, I personally choose the Everything But The Bagel Seasoning, Onion Powder, and Garlic Powder, and then blend away!
  • Once you're done blending, refrigerate until cold and enjoy!

Notes

For the blender, you can really use whatever you have. I used my Vitamix linked here if you are looking for the exact one used in this recipe!
